He was reminded how the jews struggled in the cattle cars and were suffocating and got very thirsty. It got dark in the elevator. Adam was afraid of the dark and was asked by an officer to remain calm and stay there for a while longer before they were able to rescue him. Adam was too afraid to listen and started to yell at the officer. Later on Adam was eventually saved. The thought of the Holocaust remained in his thoughts.

They did all of Hitlers killing for him. They used the swastika symbol to represent them.

The Jews were sent to concentration camps to be tortured, used for labor, and killed. Hitler was the leader and controlled how the Jews were tortured and killed. They were starved and thrown into huge ovens, were used for labor, experiments, or killed. They faced the worst punishments.
